Q: Is access to The Sugar Science free?
A: For confirmed researchers and academics, access to the site is 100% free. For Industry professionals in biotech, pharma and recruiting, a monthly subscription fee is required.

Q: Where do donations go?
A: Donations go toward running and improving the website to optimize connection between all researchers that are interested in revolutionizing the conversation about Type 1 diabetes. We are also establishing a grant for young investigators who meet and collaborate on Collaborator, and write the best grant to further that collaboration.

Q: Is my gift of a donation tax deductible?
A: The Sugar Science (TSS) is a 501(c) 3 organization in the United States; our charitable organization number is 85-0721654. Contributions to TSS may be tax deductible to the maximum extent permissible by law. Please check with your tax advisor regarding the deduction of your contributor. A: Yes, we are developing a jobs board to help connect with Type 1 diabetes researchers looking to hire. We have also partnered with the DRC to provide a fast track to apply for their grants if you are identified as a ‘best collaboration” on our website. To gain this status, post a collaboration idea on The Sugar Science, if the community supports it, you are eligible for an exclusive DRC application.

Q: COVID19 has impacted travel. I wanted to learn a new technique at another lab. Can you help?
A: Yes, The Sugar Science is developing remote learning portal so that labs can exchange and teach techniques from a distance.
